Where It All Began

Welcome to D and D Wall Hangers, a family-owned custom metal shop business located in wild, wonderful West Virginia.

I'm Doug Smith and along with my wife and son, we operate D and D Wall Hangers. We started our business in 2016 after many years of computer graphic design for vinyl decals and graphics, it was time for a new adventure. Alongside my wite and son, we made the first custom metal art from our shop and prided ourselves with good quality work and timeless pieces customized for you, our customer.

In 2021, a friend, James Utt came to me with the idea of the shape of West Virginia with a small notch cut in it. At the time, I was unaware of where his idea would take us, but looking back, this was the beginning of the D and D Wallhangers. James was also looking for a simple bracket to hang his customers' deer skulls on and the design for my oval and arrowhead skull brackets came to be.

In the years following the initial design, many new ideas have come to light. Not only do we have our original oval and arrowhead brackets, we now offer custom brackets made with more detail and designed for different animal skulls.
